Haulchemy is a family-run junk removal and hauling company serving Charlotte and the towns around it. We turn cluttered garages, packed storage units and full properties back into usable space, and we do the heavy lifting so you never have to.
The alchemy part is what happens after we load up. When practical, usable furniture and appliances may be routed to donation or reuse options, and recyclable materials may be separated where appropriate. What cannot be reused or recycled goes to an appropriate disposal facility.

What Happens to Your Items After Pickup?
Haulchemy comes from hauling and alchemy, meaning transformation. Something leaving your property does not automatically have to become waste, so we look for opportunities to donate, reuse or recycle items before sending the rest for disposal.
Donate
When practical, usable items may be routed to donation or reuse options.
Recycle
Metal, electronics and other recyclable materials may be separated where appropriate.
Dispose Responsibly
What cannot be reused or recycled is taken to an appropriate disposal facility.
Donation and recycling are not guaranteed for every item. Where an item ends up depends on its condition and on what the receiving facilities accept at the time.
Common Questions About Our Services
Straight answers on pricing, timing and what we can and cannot take. If your question is not here, call or text us.
Standard pricing starts at $99 for a single item or minimum pickup. A full 15-cubic-yard load starts at $599. Jobs can cost more if they require additional loads, heavy materials, special disposal, difficult access or extra labor. We confirm the price before loading begins.
Most standard jobs are priced by volume: you pay for the share of our 15 cubic yard trailer your items take up. The scale runs from a single item or minimum pickup, through 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 loads, up to a full load.
Item type, access and disposal requirements also affect the price, and televisions, appliances and tires carry a separate per-item disposal fee on top of the load. Current prices for every load size are listed on our pricing page.
Send a few clear photos and we can usually give you an estimate before we come out. We confirm the final price before loading. If the amount, access or material is different from what was shown, we will update the price first.
We remove most common household and commercial items: furniture, appliances, mattresses, electronics, yard waste, hot tubs, playsets, general clutter, cleanout contents and light construction debris. We handle single-item pickups as well as full garage, basement, storage unit, estate and property cleanouts. If you are unsure about a specific item, send us a photo and we will confirm before the appointment.
No. We go wherever the items are, whether that is upstairs, in the garage, in the basement or out in the yard, and we handle the lifting and loading. Let us know about stairs, narrow access or anything that needs disassembly when you request your estimate, since those affect the quote.
Same-day service may be available depending on our schedule and the size of the job, but it is not something we can promise for every request. Call or text us for the earliest opening and we will give you a realistic time rather than an optimistic one.
We do not knowingly transport hazardous or regulated materials that require specialized handling. That includes paint and solvents, household chemicals, asbestos or suspected asbestos-containing materials, fuel, gasoline, oil and other flammable liquids, propane tanks and pressurized cylinders, medical or biohazardous waste, and ammunition, explosives and fireworks. Tires are accepted, though additional disposal fees may apply depending on quantity and type.
When practical, usable items may be routed to donation or reuse options, and recyclable materials may be separated where appropriate. What cannot be reused or recycled goes to an appropriate disposal facility.
Yes. Follow us on social media and take 5% off your job. Mention it when you book so we can apply it to the estimate rather than adjusting it afterwards. It applies to the load price. Per-item disposal and recycling fees are separate, listed on our pricing page and confirmed before pickup either way.
We accept Cash, Debit, Credit Card, Zelle, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, PayPal and Cash App. Payment is due when the agreed work is complete, and the price is confirmed on site before anything goes on the trailer.
