Questions About Estimates
How photo estimates work, what they cost and what happens if the job turns out bigger than expected.
Yes. Photo and phone estimates are free with no obligation, and on-site estimates are free as well when the job needs a look in person. You are never charged for a quote.
Yes. Photos are usually enough for us to prepare an estimate. Photos let us judge volume, item type and access before we arrive, which means fewer surprises for both of us. If the photos do not show everything, we may suggest a quick on-site look instead.
A photo estimate is based on what we can see. The final price is confirmed on site before anything is loaded, so if the volume or access turns out to be different we explain the change and get your approval first.
Requests sent during business hours are usually reviewed the same day. If you send photos in the evening, expect a reply the following morning.
Wide shots of the whole pile or room are the most useful, plus a close-up of anything large, heavy or unusual. If the items are upstairs, in a basement or behind a gate, a photo of the access route helps a lot.
We confirm the final price with you before loading. If the job is larger than the photos suggested, we tell you what it changes and you decide whether to go ahead with the full job or part of it.
No. As long as we have safe access to the items and you have approved the price, you do not need to be there. If you do not need to be present, approval and payment can be handled remotely. Payment is due when the agreed work is completed unless another arrangement has been approved in advance.
