The difference between a basement and a garage of the same size is the staircase. Furniture, storage totes, appliances, exercise equipment and damp-damaged items all have to come back up it, so access is what shapes the quote here rather than volume alone. It is worked out from the actual layout and confirmed before we start.

We bring what is needed to get bulky items up a staircase, so you do not need to move anything to the top first. Tell us how many flights there are, how tight the turn is, and how far the carry runs from the bottom of the stairs to where we can park.
A walk-out basement changes the job completely. If yours has a door to the yard, mention it and expect a lower number, because the carry disappears.
Expect damp. Carpet, cardboard and upholstered furniture that has sat on a basement floor through a few Carolina summers may be declined for donation, however good it looked when it went down there. We will still take it; it goes to an appropriate disposal facility instead.
What We Commonly Remove
- Old furniture and mattresses
- Storage totes and boxes
- Exercise equipment
- Spare fridges, freezers and washers
- Damp or damaged carpet and shelving
Items We Cannot Accept
Hazardous and regulated materials are not accepted on any job: paint and solvents, chemicals, fuel, propane cylinders, asbestos, medical waste, ammunition and explosives. See the full list of what we can and cannot take
Items Requiring Special Pricing or Approval
Concrete, brick, dirt and roofing shingles are reviewed and priced separately, and televisions, appliances and tires carry a per-item disposal fee. Send photos first and we will confirm what we can take. See the current fees
How It Works
- Send Photos or Tell Us About the Job Tell us what needs to go and send a few photos if you can. Estimates are free and there is no obligation.
- Get an Upfront Estimate We review the job and send you a clear estimate, along with a time that works for you.
- We Confirm the Price, Then Load Nothing is loaded until you approve the final price. We handle the lifting and sweep up after.
- We Sort & Dispose Responsibly When practical, usable items may be routed to donation or reuse, and recyclable materials may be separated. What cannot be reused or recycled goes to an appropriate disposal facility.
How Pricing Works
Basements are priced on volume like any other cleanout, with one difference that matters: everything comes back up the stairs. The extra is worked out from the actual layout rather than applied as a flat surcharge, and a walk-out basement changes the number substantially.
